1. First, you make a template of your piece, like a structure of it. Then you mix flour and glue or water. Then you dip strips of newspaper in it and make multiple layers of it on your structure. Wait for it to dry, and then you can paint on it.
2. It wasn't. It looked horrible, but the structure for it was solid 3. It was hard to keep the newspaper on, I think that I didn't get the mixture right Process: First I had to cut out the slab of clay and then shape it into a cylinder. Then I pinched the rounds to make three little legs and I pinched those together. And then I let it dry and then put the glazing over it.
Handle: I kinda just made two spikes as the handle I found that making the shape was pretty easy, but I'd try and redo the legs if I did it again. Name: Paolo Grizzi, Location: Italy, Material: Bronze Pieces of Paper, HIstory: Meant to honor physical writing
It’s inspiring/interesting to me because I like the concept of using books and paper. It makes it look like the story really does live in the pages. It also just looks really cool. It draws me in because the faces and hands have actual definition, so it looks realistic. |
